Whodaman in Hobart?

A bunch of Hobart Hashers came to witness GoneAgain's public event... Hard to recognise them in their monkey suits! In case you are wondering who these respectable people are; GoneAgain, Grizzly, LoneArranger, Dogshit and Sugarbabe, and a young virgin. And I am pleased to report that all of these have dhash emails! Rocky Horror and Missus made an appearance too but missed out on the group hug/photo - unless he is standing behind Grizzly!

FC Getting High on the Mainland

Bastard went to visit FC to make sure he was staying fit.
He found him taking flying classes of all things.
The photos are posted on Bastard's FC Wedderburn album:

Coughing the Distance with Cystic Fibrosis - coming to a theatre near you!!

Dear Everyone,

I'm hoping some of my friends can get behind GoneAgain and support his quest in creating the awareness of CF. I saw the hard long road he has traveled.

The time has come, we will have the documentary 'Coughing the Distance' ready on August 14. Coming to a theatre near you!

I like to invite everybody and especially all those that have helped us make this documentary a reality, including their friends, families, invited guests, and those who are likely to be inspired by watching us cycle from Paris to Istanbul. We have booked out reasonably large venues and there should be enough space for everyone. Please pass this email around!
· Friday 15 August at 6pm
The Woolstore Hotel Theatrette at 1 Macquarie Street, Hobart – please use Market Place Car Park, which is located approximately 200m away.

· Wednesday 20 August at 3pm
The Finkel Lecture Theatre at The John Curtin School of Medical Research
ANU - Building #131 Garran Road, Canberra, ACT.

· Thursday 21 August at 6:30pm
The Canberra Southern Cross Club (Top of the Cross), Corinna Street, Woden, ACT.
An optional donation on entry will be collected at all venues which will go to the local CF Associations.

Cheers Thrust

Global Harriettes r*n this Saturday!!!

  • R*n starts: This Saturday August 9th, 3.30 pm
  • From: The Oz Rock Inn, Beach Road Ulverstone, set by your hare DT.
  • Dress: Like a Harriette. This will include a bra which you will nobly donate to the Rotary Uplift Charity. Yes I know some Harriettes don't wear bras. Get over it. Just wear one. Or several.
  • Cost: The usual, $10. This will buy you a cocktail, chocolates, circle drinks (pink and fizzy) and tucker, possibly including birthday cake.
  • On On: Removed to 1054 Isandula Road, Gawler, where Ratchet will be continuing to celebrate his 60th birthday from the day before.
  • Bring: Extra drinks for a big night. Bedding for a really big night. Earplugs and condoms for a huge night.

Dini's view on TdP'08

Yeah yeah, we got lost on the beach etc...

It was cosy around the fire,...

...but the night did not really start until the nudie run along the beach (Thrust and Smeg took a dip in the sea), followed by a spa continuing into the wee hours .

A Bit of This and Crow supervised a breakfast of bacon and egg rolls (ed. no pics as they conflict with their breakfast description. The pictures show Beluga caviar and Dom Pérignon champagne), then we all walked uptown and partook of a latte at an outdoor café.

It was a glorious sunny morning. Here are the hardy survivors.

Tour de Pisse 2008

We all gathered together and left in three groups, the slow, the fast and the ultrasonic.

The slow took it easy right from the start.

Somehow we all ended up back at The Oz Rock Inn.

The obligatory photographic essay is here.
